Insecurity: President Buhari Asked To Resign, Lacks Security Architectures For Citizenry – TUC

From Noah Ocheni, Lokoja

The National President of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Comrade Quadri Olaleye on Friday in Kogi state advised president Muhammadu Buhari to resigned as president if he cannot provide adequate security for the citizenry.

Comrade Olaleye made this known during the burial of the late General Secretary of Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Comrade Musa Lawal Ozigi at his country home Ogaminana, in Adavi local government area of the state.

He noted that nobody is safe in the country again, “Children can no longer go to school, you can not travelled again and we can not close our two eyes while sleeping. If the president can not provide security for it citizens then he should resigned as president,”.

The national president pointed out that the last train attack was a preventative incident if government was proactive in its security architectural design for the country and her citizenry.

He stressed that people voted for Buhari in 2015 because as a retired army General, he promised to solve all the insecurity problems in the country but he disappointed Nigerians.

Comrade Olaleye pointed out that the late general secretary of the TUC was the engine room of the union adding that he was on his way to Kaduna for their meeting and he was attacked with others in the train.

He mentioned that the attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train that killed its General Secretary and Kwara State chapter chairman, Comrade (Barr) Musa-Lawal Ozigi and Comrade Akin Akinsola, respectively, have shown that the APC-led administration has performed far below average in providing security to Nigerians.

The National President therefore called of the federal government to take a proactive step in solving the insecurity problem in the country or advise President Muhammadu Buhari to resign.

The chief Imam of central mosque Ogaminana, Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf led the Muslim prayer for the late Ozigi.
