Court orders man to sweep court premises for stealing

A 32 year old, Alex John, on Thursday has been ordered by a magistrate court in Otta, Ogun state to sweep court premises for two weeks for stealing two kegs of printing ink.

Earlier,the prosecutor, Inspector E.O Adaraloye,had told the court that the convict being a staff of Olympre Ink Company,stole two kegs of printing ink belonging to his employee.

The inspector said the convict was caught in the act by the company security Personnel.

Magistrate A. O. Adeyemi ,ruled out the punishment for the convict to sweep the court premises for two weeks without an option of fine.
