Lagos: Muslim Welfare Pilgrims Board to refund Hajj fares

The Lagos State Muslim Welfare Pilgrims Board has said it will refund hajj fares to intending pilgrims since 2019 due to the increase in fees by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria; because the situation was beyond it’s control.

The Board Secretary, Mr. Abdulhakeem Kosoko in a statement signed, that the Commissioner for Home Affairs, Prince Anofiu Elegushi said the the decision to refund the Hajj fee was made after the increment.

Which includes those who have already paid an initial deposit of 1.3 million since 2019 and those exempted by the 65 years age limit as prescribed by the Saudi Arabia Authority.

Thus,all intending pilgrims are requested to write a letter of refund addressed to the Secretary, Lagos State Muslim pilgrims Welfare Board and submit it between Tuesday 10th and Friday 13th, 2022 for processing.
