All the necessary arrangements have been concluded by the State Pilgrims Welfare Agency for the commencement of the airlift of the state intending pilgrims on Sunday.
The Permanent Secretary of the Agency, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Dange stated this while receiving Chairman and members of the House of Assembly Committee on Religious Affairs who paid an assessment visit to the Agency.
Muhammad Dange said the agency had already received appreciable number of visas of the intending pilgrims in addition to the distribution of uniforms and luggage and other items necessary for the the intending pilgrims.
The Permanent Secretary noted that the Agency had also sensitised intending pilgrims on Hajj guidelines especially the new ones introduced by the National Hajj Commission and Saudi Arabia on Covid-19.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee and member representing Yabo constituency Abubakar Shamaki told the Permanent Secretary that they were at the agency to assess its level of preparation as regards to this year’s Hajj exercise.
Shamaki expressed satisfaction with the level of preparation so far made by the Agency and called on intending pilgrims in the state to abide by the rules and regulations of the exercise.
The Committee earlier visited Hajj camp to assess the level of preparation there.
