Over 420 Intending Pilgrims Leaves Sokoto To Saudi Arabia, Sunday

Over 420 intending Pilgrims to depart Sultan Abubakar 111 International Airport Sunday to perform this years’ Hajj exercise.

Permanent Secretary of the Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Shehu Muhammad Dange made this known while addressing newsmen in his office on the preparations made for the take up of pilgrims in the state.

He said about 2404 intending Pilgrims were approved after thorough screening and that those above 65 years were kept out of operations.

As all the intending Pilgrims be conveyed in five trips, Dange said adequate security measures involving police, Civil Defence and others are engaged to ensure that everything concerning the take up from beginning to the end went smoothly.

Gada local government area was scheduled first batch of the take up.
