The aim of G4G is to create a platform for empowering girls with knowledge, skills and coincidence to exercise the right to enrol and remain in school and achieve what one wants to become in life.
It is with this aim or ambition UNICEF empower young women with the courage, vision and skills needed to take on leadership. G4G helps women achieve their ambition through provisioning access to quality education.
This was realized when a team of journalists undertook a visit to Model Primary, Secondary and integrated Islamiyya schools in Wurno local government area of Sokoto state.
At Junior Secondary School Achida, a JSS one class monitor, Rufaida said with the introduction of G4G in schools she learnt how to approach members of the society no matter the situation, learnt how to protect myself from sexual approch and above all how to face her studies.
However, according to the SBMC Chairman of Achida Primary school,Muhammad Huloti Salihu said it was through enrollment drive, advocacy coupled with the UNICEF intervention, tremendous participation was experienced in running the school.
In the same vein, Huloti further said the school SBMC has performed well in the field of enrollment and classroom observation.
