Activities at the College of Health technology in Pankshin local government council of Plateau state Area, were on Thursday grounded following protests by hundreds of Ad hoc workers of the institution.
The workers who gathered at the School entrance in Pankshin as early as 10 am blocked the entrance gates and prevented movement into the school premises.
Leader of the protesters Wambutda Wugokwe
who spoke to our correspondent lamented that the reason for the protest is the non confirmation/absorption in the ongoing replacement of workers and the non payment of 45 monthly stipends .
He added that the the protest was an opportunity to bring the attention of the government and other relevant agencies to the alleged injustice and unfair treatment which they had suffered in the institution for the past years.
They vowed to continue the protests if their demands were not met.
