Meanwhile, Ferdinand’s elder brother, Mr Chukwuebuka has described the operation carried by security agencies in their family house as unprovoked.

While lamenting that their father was shot dead during the raid, he urged the human rights organisations to help them get justice.

He narrated that: “They came to our house in the dead of the night and started shooting sporadically, shouting that they were security agencies.

“My father was unluckily shot while he was trying to climb down the stairs.

“They came looking for my brother who was being treated for the dislocation he suffered during his arrest.

“My brother escaped from the house miraculously that night and we have not seen him since then.”
