Anambra Government Panel Finds Mmesoma Guilty of Forgery in JAMB Result Manipulation Case, Acknowledges JAMB’s Professionalism

Following an investigation into the controversy surrounding Mmesoma Ejikeme’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, a panel of inquiry commissioned by the Anambra State Government has confirmed her involvement in forging the score. The panel’s eight-page report revealed that Mmesoma actually scored 249, contrary to her claim of achieving a score of 362.

The report, which has been circulating online, recommends that Mmesoma issue an unconditional, written apology to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Anglican Girls’ Secondary School (her school), and the state government. Additionally, the panel suggests that she undergo psychological counseling and therapy.

Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo established the eight-member panel to investigate the matter and disclose its findings to the public. The panel conducted interviews with relevant parties, including Mmesoma, JAMB officials, individuals involved in the process, and the principal of Anglican Girls’ Secondary School.

The investigation revealed that Mmesoma submitted a request to JAMB using a different registration number, claiming an aggregate score of 362 with subject scores in English (98), Physics (89), Biology (94), and Chemistry (81). However, this differed significantly from the standard JAMB format, and the appropriate response from JAMB clarified her actual score of 249.
