The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam called on youths to engage in productive ventures rather than wasting their youthful energy on irresponsible things to avoid being preys to desperate and disgruntled elements in the society.
Rev. Pam gave this advice when the Youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN paid a courtesy visit to his office on Monday at the Corporate Office in Abuja.
The association led leader Amb. Belusochukwu Enwere conferred the Excellent Leadership award on Rev. Pam.
The Executive Secretary Commended the executives of the Youth wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria for the award and for the effective coordination of the activities of the Association and inter-faith engagement.
Rev. Pam said, “ I am proud of what the leadership of the Youth Wing of CAN is doing, especially in reaching out to our brothers in government.”
“If we build our faith in God we will surely succeed in building our faith in the Country.”
Rev. Pam emphasized that the large number of Christians in Nigeria are the youth and noted that he had successfully bridged the gap between the Commission and the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN through robust synergy and engagement.
He hinted that the Commission was still planning to put together a Youth Pilgrimage Programme in the nearest future and would come up with the best way to implement it.
He thanked the YOWICAN executives for considering him worthy to launch their first ever brand new uniform since the inception of the Body.
Rev. Pam further affirmed that Christians should rise to own the Commission rather than depending solely on Government.
Speaking earlier, the YOWICAN Chairman, Amb. Belusochukwu Enwere thanked the NCPC boss for his support for the Association over the years hence the award.
Chairman of YOWICAN disclosed that the NCPC was awarded because of your sterling leadership qualities which you have brought to bear in the Commission by moving the Commission to greater heights since his assumption in office in 2020 as the Executive Secretary of the Commission.
He described the NCPC boss “as a man who believes in humanity and who believes tenaciously that the Young shall grow.”
Amb.Enwere told that he is the first chairman of the association to unveil the association’s first ever brand new uniform, adding that the idea of the uniform was borne out of the need to create a visible identity for members of the association.
