Breaking: Labour Party Rejects Presidential Election Petition Court’s Verdict, Citing Concerns Over Justice

Must read

The Labour Party has vehemently refused to accept the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court, which upheld Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the victor of the February 25, 2023 election.

Obiora Ifoh, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, expressed the party’s dissatisfaction with the court’s decision shortly after it was announced in Abuja. Ifoh stated, “We reject the entire judgment because it did not deliver justice and failed to reflect the law and the people’s aspirations.”

He further added, “The Nigerian populace bore witness to the electoral irregularities on February 25, 2023, which received global condemnation. Regrettably, the Tribunal chose not to acknowledge these glaring issues. What’s at stake here is the essence of democracy, and we are determined to persevere until justice prevails.”

Ifoh also commended the unwavering commitment of their legal team in exposing flaws within the system and emphasized their dedication to the betterment of Nigeria’s democracy.
