Amidst growing scrutiny of President Tinubu’s educational background, a former classmate has come forward to affirm his graduation, putting an end to speculations that have cast doubt on his academic history.
As opposition parties intensify their quest to unearth any inconsistencies that could impact his presidency, questions have arisen regarding President Tinubu’s inability to provide information about his fellow students during his time at the institution.
The controversy reached a zenith when former Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, initiated legal proceedings in the United States to gain access to President Tinubu’s records from Chicago University.
In a significant revelation, Durojaiye Ogunsanya, a former classmate, granted an exclusive interview , confirming that both he and President Tinubu were students at Chicago State University and graduated together in 1979.
During the interview, Ogunsanya stated, “We met in school at Chicago State University, where we were both enrolled in the College of Accounting Business and Administrative, majoring in Accounting. We shared the same classes, and we graduated together in 1979.”
He further emphasized, “I’m here with my diploma as proof, for the world to see. We graduated from the university together, and I’m speaking out not for personal gain or favor but to set the record straight.”
