NCDMB Signs Management Deal with Radisson for 204-Room Hotel in Yenagoa

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has signed an international management agreement with Radisson Hospitality Belgium and Edison Hotel and Property Development Company for a 204-room hotel and conference centre in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

The facility, located beside the Nigerian Content Tower in Swali, is scheduled to open in December 2026.The agreement was signed in Durban, South Africa, by NCDMB Executive Secretary Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Edison Executive Chairman Vivian Reedy and Radisson Director Garnier Erwan.

Ogbe said the deal followed more than two years of negotiations and compliance reviews. He noted that approval by the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, SAN, ensured alignment with Nigeria’s legal and regulatory framework.

According to Ogbe, the project is designed to provide a modern hospitality and conference facility to serve the oil and gas industry and the wider public, while supporting investment and local content development.

Reedy described the partnership as a strategic collaboration, emphasising the importance of disciplined management and brand standards in delivering quality hospitality services.

A representative of the Attorney-General’s office, Wada Ahmed Wada, said the agreement marked a significant milestone for the project and expressed confidence in its successful delivery.
