Kano Governorship Election Tribunal Verdict A Real Path To Democratic Progress-Kano residents

As the Kano state governorship election tribunal declared Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of the All Progressive Congress (APC) as the authentic winner of the 18th March gubernatorial election defeating the incumbent Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).In this development, our correspondent Jabiru Hassan had a series of an interaction with the people of the state where they described the judgement as a path to democratic progress through judiciary.

Malam Abubakar Mustapha from Dala local government area disclosed that ” from what we have seen in kano judgement, the Nigeria’s democratic dispensation is now getting more security through judiciary, and it is gratifying to express that election in Nigeria would continue to be clean and tidy despite the facts that some politicians remained very greedy” He added.

In his remark, the national chairman of the Youth for good governance Comrade Mustapha Umar Tallo Gwarzo stressed that Nigeria’s judiciary is playing an important role towards the protection of the democracy which would in the near future become pure and clean especially during polls.

He thanked all those who put their helping hands in the actualisation of true democracy and for the success of APC in the recent tribunal verdict which indicates that the 18th March governorship elections was fair and free in favour of the All Progressive Party.

Similarly, Hajiya Aisha Garba from Fagge local government area lamented that ” We respects Nigeria’s judiciary because they are fully equipped to sanitize the electoral process and in the other hand to serve as shepherd to our young democratic practice which would also continue restore real voting system at all levels”. She concluded.
