Benue is Not a Dumping Place for Criminals, Bandits, Gov Alia Warns

Piqued by the insecurity bedeviling the state following sustained attacks by bandits, criminals, Benue State Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia has warmed that the state is not a dumping ground for such elements.
The Governor who gave this warning at a reception organized for him by the state leadership of the All Progressives Congress over his victory at the tribunal, pointed out that ” Benue State is no longer a dumping place for criminals, for bandits and for killers”.
 This warning is coming on the heels of the kidnap of the current Benue State Commissioner of Information, Arts and Culture, Hon Aboh in Zaki-biam, his home town by unknown Gunmen last Sunday night.
The Governor who condemned the dasterdly act, warned the Commissioner’s abductors to release the gentleman, noting that Benue State’s hospitality can’t be turned into something else.
“For those who kidnapped our Commissioner for Information Arts and Culture, you have limited hours to bring that gentleman back. We want them to release that gentleman and for them again to take note of this, our hospitality can never be turned into something else.
We cohibit, we  coexist but at the same time the line is drawn between the good and the evil, and this is the strong message we have to give out there”, he further reiterated.
Governor Alia harped that bandits, criminals have no room in Benue State, insisting that the aforementioned elements would be stamped out of the state and be taking care of appropriately.
He lauded the families of the kidnapped Commissioner for their patience, assuring them that the government is working with all security agents to ensure his safe release. He posited that Government has not stopped at ensuring security of lives and property of the people.
