NUJ FCTA Chapel Celebrates International Women’s Day with Call to Empowerment

Abuja, Nigeria – The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCTA Chapel has marked International Women’s Day with a call to women to strive for greatness through empowerment and dedication. The theme for this year’s celebration, “Give to Gain,” highlights the invaluable contributions women make in various spheres of life.

In a press release to mark the event, NUJ FCTA Chapel Chairperson, Ufomba Ngozi Uloma, praised the remarkable women members of the union, saying their energy and effort in their passions and professions yield immense returns. She commended the Hon Minister of FCT, Bar Nyesom Wike, and the Hon Minister of State FCT, Dr. Mahmud, for championing women’s empowerment, particularly the establishment of the Women Secretariat in FCTA.

The event was held at a time when women’s contributions to society are being recognized globally. The NUJ FCTA Chapel Chairperson urged women to continue giving their best, supporting one another, and gaining greatness. She also prayed for God’s wisdom and strength for the Hon Minister, Bar Nyesom Wike, to continue fostering an environment where women and children flourish.
