Naira Marley Expresses Willingness to Return to Nigeria, Seeking Safety Assurance

In a recent interview with social media influencer Reno Omokri, Nigerian singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has stated that he is prepared to return to Nigeria to clear his name regarding his alleged involvement in the death of his former label signee, Mohbad.

The controversy surrounding the death of Mohbad has generated significant social media outrage, with several videos surfacing in which the late singer accused Naira Marley of orchestrating a gang beating.

During his first interview since the tragic incident, Naira Marley addressed the allegations against him, emphasizing that there has been a significant amount of negative media influence against him. He asserted that he would be willing to return to Nigeria, but he emphasized that his safety must be guaranteed by the police.

Naira Marley also revealed that Mohbad had struggled with suicidal thoughts while he was alive. He recounted a distressing incident when he received a call from Mohbad’s girlfriend, who informed him that Mohbad had locked himself in the bathroom and expressed a desire to harm himself. In response, Naira Marley had a conversation with Mohbad in an attempt to provide comfort and support, urging him not to succumb to the pressures he was facing within his family.

The singer’s willingness to return to Nigeria underscores his commitment to addressing the accusations and clearing his name in a legal and responsible manner. The tragic loss of Mohbad serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing mental health concerns and seeking help when needed.
