Ashiru Assumes Role of Senate Deputy Leader, Replacing Umahi

In a recent development, Senator Oyelola Yisa Ashiru, a member of the All Progressives Congress representing Kwara South, has been appointed as the Senate’s new Deputy Leader. The announcement was made during a Senate session presided over by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Senator Ashiru previously served as the Deputy Chief Whip of the Senate but has now been promoted to the role of Deputy Leader, a position left vacant following the appointment of Senator Dave Umahi as Minister of Works by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Further details on these developments will be made available soon.
