International Agency Visits Sokoto Governor, Assure To Assist In Health Activities

Plan International, a Canadian-based organization, announced today its commitment to rehabilitate and construct seven primary health care centers across Sokoto State. The initiative, led by High commissioner James Christoff was represented by country Director Mr Usie Charles, aims to support the state government’s efforts in providing quality healthcare services to the local communities.
During a visit to Sokoto State. Governor Dr Ahmad Aliyu FCNA, Mr. Usie Charles expressed his gratitude for Governor Aliyu’s commitment to healthcare and outlined the local government areas that will benefit from the program. These include PHC Tudun Wada (Sokoto South Local Government), PHC Arkilla (Wammako Local Government), Kware PHC, PHC Jabo, PHC Binji, PHC Tambuwal, Salame, and Gwadabawa LG.
In response, Governor Dr. Ahmad Aliyu FCNA, represented by Deputy Governor Alhaji Idris Dan Chadi, assured all associations willing to bring development projects to the state of his administration’s support and cooperation.
Speaking on behalf of the government, Special Adviser Alhaji Bello Garba Manager pledged to ensure the successful implementation of the project, emphasizing the well-being of the citizens as a top priority.
Spokesperson to the Commissioner, Murjanatu Magaji in a statement made available to newsmen in Sokoto said the State Commissioner of Health, Hajiya Asabe Balarabe, expressed appreciation for the timely gesture by Plan International, highlighting the government’s urgent need to address the previous administration’s negligence in the health sector.
“This initiative marks a significant step towards improving healthcare accessibility and quality in Sokoto State. Plan International’s commitment to the well-being of the people is commendable, and the state government looks forward to a successful partnership for the benefit of all”.
