“Soft Drink Quarrel Turns Violent as Man Cuts Off Friend’s Hand”

A quarrel over a bottle of soft drink between two friends, Abdullahi Audu and Usman Muhammed, took a gruesome turn in the Ogunmakin area of Ogun State. The Fulani community witnessed shock and confusion as the dispute escalated, leading to a violent confrontation.

During the heated argument, Abdullahi Audu reportedly drew out a cutlass and ruthlessly severed the entire wrist of Usman Muhammed. In a retaliatory act, Muhammed, realizing his hand had been severed, grabbed a knife and stabbed Audu in the stomach before onlookers could intervene.

The situation further escalated when Muhammed’s retaliatory stab resulted in Audu’s intestine being exposed, leaving both friends in agonizing pain. The gruesome incident unfolded in the community, leading to an outpouring of shock among residents.

Both victims, Abdullahi Audu and Usman Muhammed, are currently undergoing treatment at Immaculate Hospital in the community. The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the incident, with the Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, stating that an investigation into the matter is underway.

The shocking incident highlights the severity that conflicts can escalate to and underscores the need for peaceful resolution methods to avoid such extreme consequences.
