Ooni of Ife and Wife Secure Release of Inmates in Abuja

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, and his wife facilitated the release of five inmates from the Kuje Custodial Centre in Abuja. The inmates’ fines were paid as part of the Ooni’s 8th-anniversary celebration on the throne. Ogunwusi expressed his commitment to providing support for the inmates’ rehabilitation, including equipment for skills acquisition. The monarch’s wife, Temitope, highlighted the occasion’s significance, emphasizing the power of forgiveness, redemption, and second chances. The Minister of Interior and correctional service authorities were commended for their efforts in inmate reformation and reintegration.
