Chevrolet innovations that are changing driving

The Chevrolet automobile brand is advancing the automobile industry with some cool innovations. Driving as we know is changing because of the following Chevrolet innovations:

1. App Innovations

Chevy cars now have a new app feature that allows you to start and stop your car from a remote location using an app.

Unlike the traditional key fob, you don’t have to be near your car to start it when using the myChevrolet app, because Chevy cars connect to your phone app online.

Chevy’s cars are also able to connect to your compatible smartphone for infotainment purposes. The infotainment system is compatible with some features in both iPhones and Android devices.

For instance, you can access iPhone music, maps, messages and Siri on your car’s touch screen. In fact, Siri can read your messages for you as you drive. The Smartphone app for Bolt EV makes it easier for EV owners to find and access charging.

EV owners can use this app to find charging stations that are compatible with Bolt EV, and it also informs users whether the charging station is working or not.

If you own the Chevrolet Volt EV, then you can expect your myChevrolet app to send you a message when charging is complete.

2. Electric Vehicle Innovations

The Chevrolet EVs 2019 are popular because of their affordability and tech. The car’s dashboard display has quick response times to touch units, and its 8.0-inch digital gauge cluster sport has high quality graphics.

Another interesting innovation is the liquid cooling loops to stop Lithium-ion batteries in Chevrolet Volt vehicles from degrading. Lithium-ion batteries are known to degrade if exposed to high temperatures.

The Chevrolet Volt prevents this by using an actively circulating coolant to regulate battery temperature. Passive air-based cooling is used in most other EVs, but is not as efficient as liquid cooling.

GM is already working on 2020 Chevrolet models that will have Teen Driving tech that will help new drivers improve their driving skills.

They have also increased their focus on eco-friendly vehicles, which means that in the future, their tech innovations are likely to follow the eco-friendly route.
