Colleagues Serenade Desmond Elliot with Birthday Wishes Amid Controversy

Nollywood actor and politician, Desmond Elliot, celebrated his birthday, receiving love and wishes from colleagues despite recent controversy.

Elliot, who represents Surulere constituency, shared a birthday shoot on Instagram, expressing gratitude for life, good health, family, love, friends, happiness, fulfillment, grace, and favor. He thanked God for giving him reasons to praise every day.

Colleagues, including Mary Njoku, Bolanle Ninalowo, Moyo Lawal, and Susan Peters, sent their birthday wishes. Mary Njoku wrote, “Happy Birthday Egbon,” Bolanle Ninalowo wrote, “Happy Birthday baba,” Moyo Lawal wrote, “Happy birthday Unc Des,” and Susan Peters wished him a “Happy Cake Day.”

Earlier in the week, Elliot faced criticism for distributing perfumes, books, and pencils to Nigerian youths ahead of a bye-election. A viral video showed him giving items to APC supporters at a rally, causing a stir.

Despite the controversy, colleagues took a moment to celebrate Elliot’s birthday, highlighting the complexities of his public image.
