Shell to Supply 100 Million Cubic Feet of Gas Daily to Dangote Fertiliser Plant

The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited, in collaboration with joint venture partners, is set to supply 100 million standard cubic feet of gas daily to the Dangote Fertiliser and Petrochemical Plant in Lagos. The final investment decision aims to construct an upstream facility dedicated to this supply for a ten-year period. Osagie Okunbor, the Managing Director of SPDC, sees this as a significant move in support of Nigeria’s ‘Decade of Gas’ ambition, emphasizing the positive impact on industrialization and economic development. The project is expected to contribute to job creation and enhance Dangote’s fertiliser and petrochemical production capabilities.
