**Edo: Shaibu Threatens Legal Action if PDP Fails to Give Him Certificate of Return**

By Daniel Edu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) faces internal discord as Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, asserts his claim to victory in a parallel primary. Despite the party officially recognizing Dr. Asue Ighodalo as the winner and granting him the certificate of return, Shaibu contends that he won in the primary where the authentic delegates voted. During his visit to the PDP National Secretariat, Shaibu insisted on receiving his certificate of return, stressing the need for the party to adhere to its rules. He hinted at potential legal action if the party fails to address the issue in line with its guidelines.
