Ogun Senator Empowers 1000 Residents with ICT Skills

Senator Olamilekan Adeola, representing Ogun West senatorial district at the National Assembly, has facilitated the training of over 1,000 residents in his constituency in information and communications technology (ICT).

Adeola reiterated his commitment to enhancing capacity building and development in Ogun West while ensuring physical and infrastructural development through robust representation.

During the presentation of certificates and laptops to over 1000 participants at the ICT Centre of the Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Adeola emphasized the importance of vocational training for individual development.

The five-day ICT training, facilitated by the senator, saw the participation of selected journalists, medical personnel, education administrators, and staff from various institutions, including the Gateway ICT Polytechnic, Igbesa.

Adeola, represented by Mrs. Adebisi Olaotan, Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy Senate President, highlighted the aim of the training to boost participants’ capacity and update their skills with the latest ICT applications and technologies.

He mentioned that previous initiatives included distributing laptops to teachers and students in secondary schools and providing school bags and textbooks to primary and secondary schools in Ogun West.

Adeola urged the beneficiaries to utilize their newly acquired knowledge to enhance service delivery and skills, assuring continued quality representation at the Senate to facilitate more life-changing projects for Ogun West.
