Peter Obi Calls for Divine Intervention During Holy Week

Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has urged Nigerians to utilize the final phase of the Lenten season, known as Holy Week, to seek divine intervention for the country.

In a series of posts on his X account on Sunday, Obi emphasized the significance of Holy Week in Christian tradition, marking the remembrance of Jesus Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection.

He encouraged Nigerians, particularly Christians, to reflect solemnly on the challenges facing the nation and to petition for divine intervention amid ongoing struggles.

Obi highlighted the prevalent issues of insecurity and hunger, urging citizens to pray for healing and restoration as the nation grapples with these pressing concerns.

Acknowledging the collective efforts needed to advance the country, Obi emphasized the importance of leveraging the solemnity of Holy Week to seek divine guidance and support.

He concluded by expressing his wishes for a fruitful and impactful Holy Week commemoration, hoping that through prayer and reflection, Nigeria would move closer to realizing a brighter future.
