Kaduna police arrest seven for cultism

Police in Kaduna have apprehended seven individuals suspected of involvement in cult activities, seizing firearms and recovering a suspicious substance believed to be blood. According to ASP Mansir Hassan, the Kaduna State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, the arrests represent a significant blow to criminal networks in the area. The operation, conducted on April 6 based on intelligence gathered from a reliable source, targeted unusual activities in the rocky region of Dumbi along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway. During the raid, two pistols, a 30-litre jerrycan containing the suspected blood, and a Lexus car were among the items seized from the suspects. While seven suspects were captured, others managed to flee the scene. The State Commissioner of Police, Ali Audu, praised the community’s cooperation and vigilance in providing essential information leading to the operation’s success. The command remains steadfast in its commitment to eliminating criminal elements and ensuring the safety of residents. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspects, with the police urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in bringing them to justice.
