Police nab 7 suspected cultists, seizes 30 liters of suspected human blood, firearms in Kaduna

The Kaduna state police Command has successfully arrested seven people suspected to be cultists, and seized from them, illegal firearms, and recovered substantial quantity of suspicious substances believed to be human blood.

The operation, conducted on April 6th, 2024, was initiated based on intelligence gathering from a reliable source, according to the release issued and made available Tuesday night and signed by the command’s police spokesman Asp Mansir Hassan.

The release states that, acting swiftly on the information received, police operatives moved into action at about 0300 hours after reports indicated unusual activities in the rocky and mountainous region of Dumbi along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway.

During the raid, a total of seven suspects were arrested, while others managed to evade arrest under the cover of darkness.

Among the items seized from the arrested suspects were two pistols, a 30-liter jerry can containing liquid suspected to be human blood, and a Lexus car believed to be associated with their criminal activities.

The Command’s Commissioner of Police CP Ali Audu Dabigi psc, commended the cooperation and vigilance of the community in providing crucial information leading to the successful operation.

He further reiterated the Command’s unwavering commitment to rooting out criminal elements and ensuring the safety and security of all residents within the state.

It stated that efforts are currently underway to apprehend the remaining suspects who fled the scene, the Kaduna Police Command stated, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in bringing the suspects to justice.
