Atang lauds Wike over FCT Massive Infrastructural Development

The FCT Head of Civil Service, Dr. Udo Samuel Atang has lauded the the FCT Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike for the t massive infrastructural development witnessed in the Capital Territory under his watch, adding that this the first of it’s kind in the history of the territory.

Atang said this on Friday at in New Karu, Nasarawa State on May 3rd 2024 while declaring open the Step-Down Retreat and Training for FCTA Performance Managers.

He explained that the Retreat which is aimed at driving the implementation of the performance bond signed by key Ministers in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Cabinet would undoubtedly fastrack the realization of democratic dividends and overall improvement of the wellbeing of the Residents of the Territory and Nigerian citizens at large.

The Head of Service who was represented at the occasion by the Permanent Secretary of Common Services, FCTA, Bunmi Olowookere reinstated that it is not surprising that FCT Is witnessing torrents of infrastructural overhaul considering the Minister’s track records of achievements spanning over two decades of his public service career.

He added that these myriads of achievements have been made possible due to the Minister’s zero tolerance on sloppy jobs, negligence as well as delivering below expectations and behind schedule.

Providing insight on some of the efforts the FCT Administration has been making towards addressing some concerns and challenges that are being raised by some FCT Residents and Stakeholders, Dr. Atang revealed that concerted efforts are being made geared towards improving project reporting, enhancing preparedness and reinforcing her operational framework.

Atang also acknowledged the good works of the Special Adviser to Mr. President on Policy and Coordination/Head Central Delivery Coordination Unit, Hadiza Bala Usman, added that the FCT Minister would continue to collaborate with her Office to achieve the goals of Mr. President promised to Nigerians.
