[JUST IN] Erisco Food Case: Court Grants Okoli N5m Bail

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted Chioma Okoli bail in the amount of N5 million, with two sureties of the same amount. This decision came on Friday following allegations related to her online comments about Erisco Foods Limited’s tomato paste product.

Okoli faces charges under the Cybercrime Act of 2015 for her remarks about Erisco Foods Limited’s tomato paste, which the police claim are in violation of the act.

She was brought to court by the Inspector-General of Police and charged with two counts of cybercrime. Okoli pleaded not guilty to both charges.
