Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has come to the aid of Abia students studying at SRI SAI University in India, who were abandoned by the previous administration. The announcement was made by Commissioner for Information and Culture, Prince Okey Kanu, during a press briefing at Government House, Umuahia, following the latest Executive Council meeting chaired by the Governor.

The State Executive Council discussed the situation of the abandoned students and Governor Otti approved the payment of their fees, enabling them to continue their studies at the Indian university.

In related news, Governor Otti appointed Njoku Ukoha Njoku as the new Chief Press Secretary, replacing Kazie Uko, who has served since May 2023.
