The Fourth batch of pilgrims from the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, FCT , on Tuesday arrived at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, in Abuja after the successful completion of the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
The Pilgrims on Tuesday 25/06/2024, boarded Air-peace flight APK 7907 departed Jeddah to Abuja @ 13:47hrs with 360 pilgrims and 28 others.
The pilgrims arrived at the Nnamdi Azikwe international Airport at about 4:54pm Nigeria time via the Air-peace flight APK 7907, to reunite with their families.
Some of the pilgrims who spoke
with journalists expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for bringing them back home safely and appreciated the Minister of the FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike and the Minister of State Dr. Mariya Mahmoud for their unflinching support to ensure their wellbeing throughout the Hajj exercise.
They expressed satisfaction on the way and manners in which the board handled their feedings arrangements, accommodation and took care of their wellbeing throughout the Hajj rites in Saudi Arabia.
One of the pilgrims, Dr. Muhammad Ahmed Shehu who is also the Dan Amana Bauchi thanked Almighty Allah for giving them the opportunity to be among those who performed this year’s hajj and appreciated the pilgrims Board for educating ahead of how to perform each Hajj rites.
The safe landing of the fourth flight brings the total of one thousand and three hundred and sixty out of the two thousand nine hundreds and fifty-eight pilgrims that performed the Hajj through the FCT Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Arrangements have been concluded to airlift the fifth flight from Makkah to Jeddah, where they will be airlifted back to FCT.
