Sen.Heineken Lokpobiri Donates Educational Materials To School In Bayelsa

The Honourable Minister of Petroleum Resources Oil, Senator Heineken LokpobirI has distributed note books to Model Secondary school in Ekeremor Town in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

In his remarks while donating the note books, Senator Heineken LokpobirI represented by Mr..Richard Torugbene, the CEO Richard Torugbene Athletics Academy Ltd said, the essence of the distribution of note books is to contribute his quota for educational development of the state.

He noted that , the note books will address the acute shortage of educational materials in schools.

He stated further that parents of wards at the grassroots find it difficult to meet the demands of pupils attending various schools in the area.

The Petroleum Resources Minister who is from Ekeremor Town said the idea of supporting the students is to give back to society, saying that it is the alma mater that made him what he is today and urged political leaders to identify with the people.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Students, the Principal of Model Secondary School Ekeremor, Mr. Fetugha Akassa Williams, thanked Senator Heineken Lokpobiri for the kind gesture and called on other government officials, well meaning individuals, and groups in the constituency to emulate the Minister towards addressing educational challenges in the area.

Speaking on behalf of the students of Model Secondary School Ekeremor, the senior prefect, Mr. Akama appreciated the Minister for identifying with them and promised to make good use of the materials received.
