Abuja Residents Applaud Tinubu, Wike Over Satellite Town Roads

By Joyce Remi-Babayeju

Residents of satellite communities in Abuja, particularly those in Kubwa, have applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over ongoing road construction projects across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike for a job well done.

The commendation followed the Minister’s inspection of key road projects spanning Karu Township, the Apo–Karshi Road, and the Kubwa–Gbazango Road, popularly known as Arab Road.

Speaking during the inspection, Wike expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, noting that several of the projects would be commissioned to mark the third anniversary of President Tinubu’s administration.

He reaffirmed the FCT Administration’s commitment to opening up more roads across the territory, as well as improving environmental sanitation and urban organisation through sustained infrastructure development and renewal initiatives.

An elated Kubwa resident , Prosper Onyenaucheya, commended the pace of work on the Kubwa–Gbazango–Arab Road, describing the development as impactful and timely.

“You are doing a very wonderful job, and the work is progressing rapidly,” he said.

“We want to thank you for the speed with which the project is being executed. We have truly felt your presence here.”

Onyenaucheya added that the ongoing projects have positively reflected on the administration’s performance.

“The truth is that you have helped to promote the scorecard of our President. You are doing well. Nigerians will remember this administration for these efforts,” he stated.

Wike assured residents that the Karu Township roads are among projects slated for inauguration during the President’s third anniversary celebrations.

He also commended Abdul Val Nigeria Ltd, the contractor handling the Karu Road project from Karu Interchange to Customs Clinic Junction, for the quality of work.

“The job is progressing well. What impresses me most is that it is being handled by a local contractor, and the quality speaks for itself,” the Minister said.

“The contractor has shown that given the opportunity, local firms can compete favourably with foreign companies.”

Referring to the Kubwa–Gbazango Road, Wike expressed confidence that, based on assurances from the contractor, the project would also be ready for commissioning during Mr. President’s third year in office.
