Half-Dressed Man, Others Continue #EndBadGovernance Protest In Ojota

By   Milcah   Tanimu

Protests demanding an end to bad governance continued for the fifth day at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Park in Ojota, Lagos. The #EndBadGovernance demonstrators, who have been actively voicing their discontent since the protests began, remained out in full force despite the challenges posed by the ongoing demonstrations.

The latest phase of the protest was marked by visible frustration among the protesters regarding President Bola Tinubu’s response to the crisis. Many expressed their discontent with the President’s national address delivered on Sunday, deeming it inadequate and too delayed. The protesters felt it was “rather unfortunate” that it took three days of sustained protests for the President to address the nation.

In the videos circulating on social media from the fifth day of the protest, a notable scene featured a man who was half-dressed, chanting fervently among the crowd. He was heard repeatedly shouting in Yoruba, “We are angry, we are hungry,” emphasizing the protesters’ collective frustration and their dire situation.

The demonstration in Ojota has become a focal point for expressing grievances against the current government’s policies, with the protesters calling for immediate reforms and solutions to the issues that have sparked widespread dissatisfaction across the country.
