Nigerian music superstar Wizkid has achieved a new milestone by setting the record for the longest gap between No. 1 songs on Nigeria’s TurnTable Top 100 chart. His latest single, “MMS” featuring Asake from the album *Lungu Boy*, has topped the chart, marking Wizkid’s second No. 1 song.
The new record highlights a gap of 3 years, 9 months, and 12 days since Wizkid last reached the top spot with “Ginger” featuring Burna Boy. This achievement surpasses the previous record of 1 year, 10 months, and 16 days set by Omah Lay.
Wizkid’s longevity in the Nigerian music scene is further underscored by this record, demonstrating his enduring appeal and influence. The Grammy-winning artist is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated sixth album, *Morayo*, named in honor of his late mother.
Before the album’s release, Wizkid has been active with guest appearances on tracks like DJ Tunez’s “Apala Disco,” Shenseea’s “Work Me Out,” and Asake’s “MMS.” He has also hinted that *Morayo* will feature Nigerian artists and described it as his best work yet.
