Woman Collapses and Dies While Giving Testimony in Church

A 55-year-old woman, identified as Ifeoma, tragically collapsed and died while giving a testimony at a church service in Lagos.

The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the death of a 55-year-old woman named Ifeoma, who collapsed and died while giving a testimony at a church service. The incident occurred at 8:48 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2024, during a service in the Ejigbo area of Lagos.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, Ifeoma was sharing her testimony and singing when she suddenly collapsed. The church’s zonal accountant reported the incident to the authorities.

Ifeoma was initially taken to a nearby hospital but was later referred to a hospital in Isolo, where she was pronounced dead. Following the report, detectives visited the hospital but were informed that the family had already taken her body to Anambra for burial.

The cause of her collapse and death has not yet been disclosed. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
