Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Americas, NIDO, is to promote Nigeria’s cultural heritage as it celebrates the Nigerian Day Commemoration in Sacramento, Northern California, United States.
According to the Managing Director of CEKO Ventures and Associates, Gift Ibezim- Eke the Nigeria Day event slated to be held on 3rd May, 2025, in Sacramento is aimed at promoting Nigeria’s culture by strengthening connections between Nigeria and the international community.
Ibezim- Eke said, ” Through events like Nigerian Day, we aim to build bridges and strengthen connections between Nigeria and the international community.”
“The Nigerian Day Commemoration will offer attendees an immersive experience of Nigeria’s vibrant culture through traditional music, dance, art, and cuisine showcasing the diverse and colorful essence of Nigerian life.”
” The event will attract a broad audience, including Nigerians, Americans, and people from various backgrounds, fostering meaningful cultural exchange and understanding.”
As a way of giving back to the country he called for financial sponsorship to cover for events expenses, adding that the proceeds from the event will go towards establishing a fully equipped Old People’s Home in Nigeria, with a special focus on providing Mental Health Services for the elderly’.
