#October1Protest: Security Agents Take Over Eagles Square in Abuja

Security operatives established multiple roadblocks on routes leading to Eagles Square in Abuja on Tuesday, causing significant disruptions for commuters and journalists attempting to access the area.

Upon arrival at the square, our correspondent noted a large deployment of security personnel both inside and outside the venue.

It was previously reported that the organizers of the #October1Protest had shown interest in using Eagles Square for their demonstration. However, the heavy presence of security forces appeared aimed at preventing protesters from utilizing the location, even though it was not scheduled for the Independence Day celebration.

This follows a pattern from earlier protests in August, where security personnel similarly blocked attempts to use the facility.
