How to tell your partner is only using you for personal gains

Must read

We all know that there are gold diggers and manipulators. It is actually a shame that some people out there enter into a relationship for selfish gains. And it would only save you lots of woe if you identify the signs before falling in too deep.

So here are 3 helpful signs on how to know that he/she is significantly using you without your knowledge:

1. He/She fully depends on you financially

You and your significant other might be compatible in 1,000 ways but not when it comes to finances. However, it is not a bad thing.

It only becomes a problem when he/she is not making an effort to improve his/her financial situation simply because you sort out all his/her financial issues.

If your partner is depending on you to buy him/her airtime, give him/her transport money, pay his/her bills or even giving him/her pocket money, it is a clear indication he/she is only with you for financial reasons.

2. He/She is always asking for favours

If you find yourself constantly doing things for your man/woman and he/she doesn’t return the favour, chances are you’re being used.

You need someone who will go out of his/her way to also make you happy and reciprocate the kind of love and support you show him/her.

In relationships, support is supposed to come from both sides, but if you’re the one who’s always supporting, giving and compromising, then it’s a one-sided relationship.

3. You’ve never been introduced to his/her family and friends

You should never settle for being swept under the mat by your partner.

If you’ve been dating for a while and he/she has never bothered to introduce you to his/her family or friends, it means he/she is not taking you seriously and just wasting your time.

A man/woman who truly loves you will take the initiative to introduce you to the most important people in his/her life, and that is, his/her friends and family.

If he/she keeps you a secret, it clearly means you’re not a priority in his/her
