Mikang Council Boss, Dr. Bernard Alkali, Promises Open-Door Policy for Progress

Dr. Bernard Alkali, Executive Chairman of Mikang Local Government Area (LGA), held a productive meeting with former chairmen and their deputies, emphasizing the importance of collaboration for the council’s growth. The gathering, which took place yesterday, sought to leverage the experiences and insights of past leaders to guide current initiatives and foster development.

Dr. Alkali, in his address, expressed gratitude to the former council executives and emphasized the role of all stakeholders in moving the council forward. He assured them of his commitment to an open-door policy, aiming to foster fairness, justice, and equity while driving growth in Mikang LGA. His administration, he stated, will work tirelessly to improve the region.

The meeting, held in an atmosphere of camaraderie, included key figures such as the first elected chairman of Mikang LGA, Hon. Dauda Britet, and the immediate past TIC Chairman, Hon. Daniel Kungmi, among others. Dr. Alkali noted that this would be an ongoing initiative to engage with past leaders for continuous progress.

The former chairmen expressed their support for the initiative, commending Dr. Alkali for prioritizing unity over party differences and aiming to create a new political paradigm in Mikang LGA. Other attendees included Hon. Felix Penswang, Hon. Innocent Tirsel, Hon. Augustine Bako, Hon. Mrs. Magdalene Bagudu, and Hon. Sir Boniface Gwobit, all of whom praised the meeting’s success and the Chairman’s inclusive approach.
