Samuel Chukwueze is poised for his first start of the season in the UEFA Champions League as AC Milan face Slovan Bratislava on Tuesday. The Super Eagles forward has yet to start any Champions League match this season, making two appearances as a substitute.
After a mixed first season at Milan, where he scored three goals and provided three assists in 33 appearances, Chukwueze has only one goal and one assist in 16 appearances this campaign.
Against Slovan Bratislava, who have struggled in the competition with no points and 15 goals conceded, Chukwueze has a golden opportunity to break his duck in Europe’s premier club competition.
This could be a significant match for the 25-year-old as he looks to secure more starting opportunities moving forward.
