Hoba (Kilba) Community Honors Margaret K. Julius for Exceptional Service to Humanity and God

The Hoba (Kilba) Christian Association (KCA), Kaduna Main Branch, has celebrated Margaret Kwa’ada Julius, a distinguished humanitarian and advocate, for her outstanding contributions to humanity and unwavering dedication to the service of God.

The grand ceremony, held on November 30, 2024, at the HEKAN Headquarters on Katsina Road, Kaduna, was chaired by Wing Commander (Retired) Dr. C. L. Womdeo. It attracted dignitaries and members of the Hoba (Kilba) community from Adamawa State living in Kaduna.

Margaret Julius, a native of Udong village in Pella District, Adamawa State, is the founder of the Eye Opener Youth and Women Foundation, the Tobacco and Substance Abstinence Club, and the Njirhoba Multipurpose Foundation. She was recognized for her relentless efforts in drug prevention programs, humanitarian initiatives, and advocacy for children and youth welfare.

Mrs. Julius has received several high-profile awards, including:
– The World Health Organization (WHO) No Tobacco Award for Africa Region in 2021, 2022, and 2024.
– The Global Award for Prevention and SUD Training from the Ecolink Institutes of Wellbeing, India, in 2024.
– The Award for Impact by the Ark Movement Nigeria.
– The Award for Excellence and Service to Humanity from the African Institute of Waste Management and Environmental Studies.

The KCA lauded Margaret’s dedication, generosity, and transformative impact on vulnerable populations. In presenting the award, they highlighted her role as an inspirational leader within and beyond the Hoba (Kilba) community.

“This honor reflects her steadfast commitment to God and her tireless service to humanity,” said the organizers, emphasizing her efforts in drug demand reduction and community development.

Margaret Kwa’ada Julius’s work continues to inspire hope and positive change, cementing her reputation as a beacon of compassion and excellence. This recognition further solidifies her legacy of impactful leadership and service to humanity.
