We are here to reduce your pains, Wike tells residents as he flags-off Kabusa- Ketti road construction

The Minister of FCT, Barr. Nyesom Wike has reassured the residents that the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come to reduce their pains with the construction of roads in satellite towns.

Wike said this on Wednesday at the flag – off of the construction ceremony of Kabusa- Ketti Assess Road in Kabusa community.

The minister told the over joyous residents who came out in their numbers to celebrate the construction of the road, that part of the promises the president made was that, he’s going to provide access roads to our people that will reduce the pains, that will make our farmers go back to the farm, that will make sure that this security problem we have will be reduced.

He said, ” What we are doing today here is the opening up of the satellite towns by the flag – off of the Kabusa – Ketti road, and today we are also providing streetlights to ensure security.”

Mr. President has directed that we must also open up all the satellite towns and that is what we are doing today in kabusa Ketti, he emphasized.

The minister emphasized that the Kabusa- Ketti road construction is part of the government’s efforts not to concentrate development only in the city, but also to the satellite towns.

The minister also approved the citing of a secondary school in the Ketti community, which has been without a school.
Wike said, ” l have seen what you people wrote on the banner, you don’t need to ask me. I approve of a secondary school in Ketti.”

” I tell people that government is a contract between the government and the people. Tinubu made promises to construct access roads to provide easy transportation and security.”

“And for the first time you can see that we are providing roads and at the same time providing streetlights, that’s the way to improve security.”

” You voted for Mr. President, it is his turn to do for you by providing roads and secondary school for Ketti. It is a fulfillment of promises, Wike said.

The minister used the occasion We are now going to that government is dualizing the road from Kuje to Gwagwalada.
we have already dualised the one in Kuje road, go there in the night you will see the street light in Kuje, he disclosed.

The Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Chairman, Christopher Zakka Maikalangu said, noted that the flag-off of the construction of Kabusa-Ketti Road will certainly reduce pains of the of
residents of Kabusa and Ketti who have suffered because of the poor state of the road.

Maikalangu said,”Consequently, the absence of
this road and the poor state of the area have made it a soft target for
kidnappers, armed robbers and bandits which has caused the
residents to run away from their homes.”

The AMAC Chairman on a sober note recalled that a royal father was this is where our Royal father was kidnapped and killed in the community because it was very difficult for the security operatives to access the road.

appreciation to you for making people feel impacted and have a
sense of relief, Maikalangu said.
