Dangote Refinery has made its first petrol export to Cameroon, marking a key milestone in its regional expansion. Located in Lagos, Nigeria, Dangote Refinery is Africa’s largest oil refinery. It has the capacity to process 650,000 barrels of crude oil daily. This export strengthens the energy infrastructure in West Africa and helps address fuel supply challenges.
The shipment to Cameroon highlights the refinery’s role in reducing the region’s reliance on imported refined products. By increasing exports, Dangote Refinery stabilizes fuel prices and ensures a more reliable supply.
This first export to Cameroon is part of Dangote’s larger strategy to become a major energy provider in West Africa. The refinery aims to boost the availability of refined products across the region.
Though the exact volume of the first shipment was not disclosed, this development is seen as a step toward fostering energy independence in West Africa.
Dangote Refinery’s efforts contribute to a more stable energy market and offer affordable fuel access to neighboring countries.
