“Peller is not part of our family,” says Shina Peller.

By Abigail Philip David

Prominent Nigerian politician Shina Peller has dismissed claims that a popular TikToker known as Peller is related to his family.

In an interview with Channels TV, Peller clarified that despite sharing the same last name, the TikToker is not a member of their family. He explained that the surname “Peller” became associated with his family through his father’s legacy as a renowned magician.

“Professor Peller’s family is quite extensive,” Shina Peller acknowledged, “but this individual is not part of it. The name ‘Peller’ was given to our father as a magician, and it has since been adopted by the family.”

While recognizing the TikToker’s clever use of the name to build his brand, Shina Peller reiterated that there is no familial connection. “He’s been smart in leveraging the name, but I can categorically state that he is not a member of the Peller family,” he concluded.
