The Social Sports Club (SSC) Lafia has announced plans to collaborate with the ZUMUNTA Association in the United States to enhance human capital development and provide medical outreach to vulnerable communities in Nasarawa State.
During a conference call on Friday, the President of the ZUMUNTA Association, Mr. Sunday Bitrus, commended SSC Lafia for initiating the partnership. He expressed the association’s readiness to collaborate, pending the submission of a detailed blueprint outlining the club’s proposed activities.
“We are pleased with this initiative and commend the Social Sports Club Lafia for reaching out. Once we receive and review the blueprint, we will identify specific areas where we can work together effectively,” Mr. Bitrus stated.
The Chairman of SSC Lafia, Dr. Idrisu Abdulquadri, emphasized the club’s dedication to improving the lives of vulnerable populations through strategic partnerships.
“Our mission is to bridge gaps in human capital development and healthcare delivery. Partnering with the ZUMUNTA Association is a significant step toward achieving these goals, and we are optimistic about the impact this collaboration will have on our communities,” Dr. Abdulquadri said.
He added that the club is finalizing its activity blueprint, which will soon be presented to facilitate the partnership process.
This initiative underscores SSC Lafia’s commitment to leveraging global partnerships to address local challenges, particularly in healthcare, capacity building, and the overall social welfare of the people of Nasarawa State and beyond.
