In a significant moment ahead of the US President Donald Trump’s inauguration, Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, participated in a special prayer event. The event, known as the Inauguration Praise and Prayer Convocation, was held at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church. Organized by Jim Garlow’s Well Versed World Ministry and Tony Perkins from the Family Research Council, it brought together faith leaders to pray for the nation and its incoming leadership.

During the event, Kumuyi addressed the American church and its leaders, emphasizing the importance of holiness and righteousness in ensuring national revival and spiritual renewal. His powerful prayer included a call for unity, wisdom, and strength for President Trump as well as a deeper connection between the church and the government for the benefit of the nation.

Kumuyi’s prayer read:
“Almighty God, we thank You and bless Your name… We’re asking that You will grant President Trump wisdom and that the church will remain united, revived, and have the knowledge and vision to speak truth to power.”

Earlier, Kumuyi prayed for President Trump’s leadership, invoking divine grace, wisdom, and focus to help him fulfill his campaign promises, including honoring Christ.

During his visit, Kumuyi also met with key figures like Robert Pittenger, former North Carolina representative, and Turning Point USA Faith’s Senior Director, Lucas Miles. The event marked an important moment of prayer and reflection just before Trump’s official swearing-in as the 47th President of the United States.

The inaugural ceremony, where Trump will take the oath of office administered by Chief Justice John Roberts, will take place today in Washington, D.C.
