Sokoto State’s Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning has launched a 2-day mock exercise to prepare for the upcoming Independent Verification Agent (IVA) assessment of the 4th NG-CARES initiative.
Dr. Abubakar M. Zayyana, PhD, CNA, FHEA, CMgr, Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, officially inaugurated the exercise at Shukura Hotel, Sokoto. The mock exercise is designed to equip the team with the necessary strategies and tools to address challenges and deliver outstanding results.
The NG-CARES initiative has positively impacted hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries across Sokoto State, including farmers, small and medium enterprises, cash transfer recipients, as well as individuals in livelihoods programs, the vulnerable, and disabled communities.
During the session, Murjanatu Magaji, in a statement, revealed that the Commissioner engaged with the team, listening to their achievements, challenges, and proposed mitigation strategies. This proactive approach highlights the state government’s commitment to addressing issues effectively and ensuring the continued success of the program.
With a focus on preparation and collaboration, Sokoto State is determined to make the upcoming IVA exercise a success.
